Building on success with a smarter stand design

Curium event stand

The Challenge.

Following the success of the previous year’s stand design, Curium approached us once again to evolve their presence at the annual British Nuclear Medicine Society (BNMS) event. While the original design had performed well, they were keen to make subtle yet impactful enhancements to improve functionality and elevate visual appeal - all while staying true to what had worked before.

Our Approach.

We took a thoughtful approach to evolution rather than revolution. Retaining the best elements of the previous stand while introducing strategic enhancements to improve visitor experience and practical use of the space.

At the heart of the updated design was the interactive ‘Beat the Buzz’ game, which had proven highly effective in attracting attention and boosting engagement. We kept this as a central feature and added a branded leaderboard to heighten competition and visibility.

To improve practicality, we introduced a branded podium with integrated storage. This not only offered a sleek way to showcase Curium’s generators but also provided a discreet space for materials and equipment. In reconfiguring the layout, we maximised the 25sqm footprint to promote better visitor flow, allowing for more meaningful interactions without crowding the space.

The design centred around four key zones to support different touchpoints and experiences:

  • Reception desk with TV display
Positioned at the front of the stand to capture initial attention, the reception desk featured a TV screen to showcase Curium’s brand story and product offering.
  • Interactive game zone
The ‘Beat the Buzz’ challenge returned as a high-energy feature, creating a fun, memorable way to engage delegates.

  • Demonstration podium
The newly introduced podium provided an ideal platform for product demos while doubling as functional storage - balancing design and utility.
  • Meeting area with coffee machine
To support longer conversations, we added a welcoming seating area with chairs, an ottoman and a table, complemented by a coffee machine to encourage comfort and dwell time.
  • Visual enhancements
Such as greenery and plants were also retained to reinforce a relaxed, approachable atmosphere.

The Results.

The refreshed stand consistently attracted visitors throughout the BNMS event, driving engagement and drawing attention across all key zones.
